Our Vision
A Christian School committed to nurturing and developing academic excellence.
Our History
DCCS initially known as International Christian Academy under the apostolic oversight of our Senior Pastors, Dr. Fred and Nellie Roberts, opened its doors in 1999 with 50 learners and five educators, catering for Nursery to Grade 6 learners. Since then DCCS has experienced exponential growth and presently has over 200 learners and over 20 staff. We currently accommodate learners from 2 years old to matric.
Durban Christian Centre School celebrated 20 years of academic excellence in 2019. The school was open in 1999 by the late Dr Fred Roberts and Ps Nellie Roberts. We are part of the ministry of DCC under the auspices of Ps John and Joy Torrens. We are not just a Christian ethos school but rather one that has its foundation on the Word of God and it is this that makes us unique.
We follow the national curriculum and have received our 2nd quality assurance certificate from the Independent Quality Assurance Association. We provide high quality education in a secure, loving and purposeful environment. Our well resourced facilities, dedicated and hard- working teachers are a winning combination that allows our learners to be their best and also unlocks the great potential found in every child.
We pride ourselves in raising a Godly generation where respect and love for others are instil in our regular outreaches and assemblies. We believe in engaging learners head and heart by taking action and making a difference in this world.
We also understand the need for learners to have a greater thinking and problem- solving abilities and the various programmes offered at school strengthened acuity of their perception and enhances critical abilities. Creative and Performing Arts are becoming a strong learning focus as we have seen the immeasurable talents and skills our learners possess. Every year our school produces epic stage performances that makes them strong and confident individuals. It has been an honor to serve as the principal and to be part of the many things that makes DCCS such a special place.
